Lost ships, help us find the history...

brovingen.no are trying to track down the history of some lokal ferry boats from the Oslo fjord.

Now we are looking for the former MIKKEL, a fast passengercatamaran.

MIKKEL, was build in 1974 for Nesodden Bundefjord DS in Oslo. Due to a number of problems with the ship, she was laid up already in 1975. She was later renamed VESLEFRIKK and used as a partyboat in the same company. 1979 she was sold to Askøy-Bergen company in Bergen. Shortly after she was resold to a company on Greenland. We are seeking information about the ships name, company and history at Greenland. We know that it was build a sistership called MIKKELINE, who was in service at the West of Norway for many years.

Previous lost ship, now solved...

VESLEFRIKK/MARIA VITTORIA

For a long period of time we where looking for a another passengerferry from the company Nesodden Bundefjord DS, and its destiny. We knew for a fact that she was sold to Italy in 1972, and renamed MARIA VITTORIA in Rimini. But in the later years we could not find her. The autumn 2007 we got information abouth she was sold and was to be converted to a yacht. And finally in the spring 2008, we got to see the result.
